I worked in the office of ASA from 1978 to 1981 while Frank Sawyer was head of the school. What a lovely place for students and teachers and what interesting education for all. It's now a part of the American Embassy and no longer open to visitors. Good memories!
I look back on my years teaching at ASA - particularly the sixth grade classes - as some of my most rewarding ever. The very brightest and best of students came through, and I would love to hear about - or from any of you. Affectionately, Mrs. Druitt
As a member of the U.S. Embassy staff and later as Ambassador, I have warm memories of ASA and its wonderful staff and students thanks to my service as Chairman of the Board from 1976 to 1979 and as Honorary Chairman from 1979 to 1981 and again from 1988 to 1991. I am sorry to see that its successor school, the American International School of Algiers, makes no mention of its predecessor in its historical materials. Ambassador (ret.) Christopher Ross

Would you happen to know what happened to the ASA facebook site? :o You can only Like It, but that's about it. I thought it would have more content?

I attended about 1977-1979. What a great experience, classmates and teachers from all over the world.
